Hello, dear friends! I am glad to welcome you to my website. My mind was once filled with stuff like atoms and gravity-I actually hold a degree in physics!
Quite the puzzler, huh? I get amazing looks when I say that to people. So how did I switch from pondering black holes to pondering blog posts? Man, It has been so interesting!
Back in the days of physics, I became very good at problem-solving and data analysis. But I also wanted to do something where I could create a more direct impact in the real world, hence the unexpected entry into digital marketing. It was like entering a whole new universe! I learned everything about websites, social media, and getting people to pay attention to things online.
Why is this digital marketing thing so important, anyway, you may ask? Good question! Think about it like this:
If you need to reach everyone: The Internet is so vast! Digital marketing enables you to reach out to people all over the world and not only the neighborhood down the street. It is definitely a lot more than keeping a sign in the window.
Talking to the Right People: Rather than just yelling your message to any poor soul that may be listening, digital marketing enables you to home in on the very people who care about what you have. Think of it this way – using a supercharged magnet to pull in the right bunch.
Keeping Score: This is where my physics brain gets really excited! With digital marketing, you can see in black and white what is working and what is not. Every click, every ‘like’ – everything is being tracked. It’s kind of like doing a scientific experiment on yourself; all your results are here.
Saving Some Cash: Compared to its traditional counterparts, digital marketing could be much cheaper during the start-up phase. You can hold a conversation with a very broad audience without spending lots of money.
Two-Way Street: Social media and websites actually let you speak to your customers, gather their feedback, and create a proper relationship. It is not a one-way street.
Always Something New: The internet is never still; therefore, digital marketing is always in flux. It keeps things exciting and allows you to learn new stuff.
It’s like physics’ entropy. Basically, the natural inclination of things is to become more chaotic over time. Well, sometimes in digital marketing, especially when you are trying to organize a big campaign or at least make sense of a messy pile of data, you can almost feel this pulling against marketing entropy! Instead, you fight to create order out of chaos, like trying to sort a box of socks that seem to multiply and mingle together. Organizing such digital “disorder” into something meaningful and orderly requires effort and strategizing!
From there, what a lovely journey: the laws of the universe to the laws of the internet! Another thing that I’ve found helpful in the digital area is the mindset trained by physics: rationality and data-driven.
